Larry Peck,Buick Golf Marketing Manager announced during a news conference Monday that Woods is planning to participate in the Buick Open. Tiger has not played since undergoing knee surgery two days after the Masters and is not expected to play until the U.S. Open in mid-June. The Buick Open, a tournament Woods has played eight times and won twice comes two weeks after the U.S. Open. Tiger Woods usually does not commit to tournaments untill the last minute but his plans are concrete enough that the tournament announced he will be hosting a golf clinic at Comerica Park in Detroit on June 24,2008. Woods did not play in the last Buick Open due to his daughters birth.
