We have the time, the place, the yardage and now we have the teams!
The 37th Ryder Cup is just about to kick off. Friday September 19th to Sunday September 21, two teams will battle it out over 7,496 yards at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville,KY.
Captain Paul Azinger has used his four captain picks on J.B. Holmes, Hunter Mahan, Steve Stricker and Chad Campbell. His four picks fill out the twelve man team that also includes Phil Mickelson, Stewart Cink, Kenny Perry, Anthony Kim, Justin Leonard, Jim Furyk, Ben Curtis and Boo Weekley
Captain Nick Faldo had two picks and has chosen Ian Poulter and Paul Casey, which came as a surprising decision that left Darren Clarke off the European team for the first time since 1995. The other ten players are Padraig Harrington, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson, Robert Karlsson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Graeme McDowell, Justin Rose, Soren Hansen and Oliver Wilson.
They are all good players, which makes for great teams and in return makes for a super time. We are going to see a lot of super swings, perfect putts and an all around great time over that weekend. I cannot wait to see who comes out on top!
