Fate

I believe in fate to some degree. In other words I believe that you control your fate by your thoughts and actions and then the world provides you with the results. I have had many mentors in my life, some by choice and some by chance. My teachers in my school days, my parents, my coaches, my classmates, my friends, my sister, my pets, my co-workers, my wife, my children all have or had a tremendous influence on my life. We tend to go through life without even reflecting on the contributions others make to your wonderful life. I wish I could thank them all but sometimes the window of opportunity is gone. We should practice gratitude more just for the many opportunities that we have in this life.

I hope I tell my family enough how much I appreciate them and love them. I wish I could go back and tell my parents and teachers how much I appreciate their efforts. Go back and thank the many friends that we have lost touch with and apology for any things that you did to hurt them.

Presently there are two guys in my life that need some recognition. I work for a gentlemen that has supported me over the years and is generous almost to a fault. He isn’t the type that I could go up to and thank as he would just slough it off and probably would feel uncomfortable. He probably would never read this but I would like to thank him.

The other “Guy” came into my life in a rather bizarre way, so the reason for the title of this article. Originally he kind of raked me over the coals to find out what I was all about but since then has given me opportunities that I cherish. I have no doubt the future is bright but before he gets to big (not weight wise), I would like to thank him for his passion, vision and ideals. Oh ya and he is a Leaf fan too!
