Stewardship
I was driving home from my golf tournament in Sarnia yesterday and by the way we were rained out on the second day so I ended up tied for fourth and probably made around $120.00, enough to pay for the gas and I saw a truck driver open the window and toss out his Tim Horton’s coffee cup. This really irks me. I wonder what is going through the person’s mind or how they were brought up to carelessly litter this wonderful planet.
I think it is part of our job to take care of our home, Earth. We hear so much about global warming and other potential dangers to our planet. Each one of us should make an effort to look after the planet. We have an obligation to the future inhabitants to make sure this earth is suitable to live on. I have a hard time believing that people are so selfish and uncaring that they would do something like litter intentionally. I guess I don’t see it that often anymore so that is a good thing and I know it is a little thing but this does reflect an attitude out there that is harmful to our society.
I reflect on life a lot as you can probably tell in some of my blogs but if we are just put on this planet to accumulate stuff, make life easy for us, grow old and die then I have a hard time with that. I think we were put here to help each other and contribute to the world. It is not about us as individuals. We should care about what happens to everyone. The more we help one another the better off we are and the better life we have led.
